Gabriel and Dresden

Every time producer/DJ duo Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden return to Ministry of Sound, we are reminded of exactly why fans and critics have hailed them as the future sound of electronic music.

Voted ‘Best American DJ’ at the 2007 Winter Music Conference International Dance Music Award (IDMA), it seems that people just can’t get enough of the boys who brought us “Dangerous Power”, and “Tracking Treasure Down”.

Besides their own acclaimed productions, Gabriel and Dresden have successfully made the remix their art, and are sought after by a surprisingly diverse roster of artists - The Killer’s, Annie Lennox, Dido, Britney Spears & Madonna, Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto and more have all had their tunes touched by some Gabriel and Dresden magic, resulting in a string of well deserved awards.

As DJs, Gabriel & Dresden have toured the world playing the best clubs and festivals, ranked at number 23 in the prestigious DJ Magazine Top 100 poll. In 2004 they released their mix CD, "Bloom" on Nettwerk Records, DJ-mixed the soundtrack for the popular FX TV series Nip/Tuck and launched their indie record label, Organized Nature.

Through it all, Gabriel & Dresden defy classification and have earned respect and support globally of both fans and the world's top DJs by constantly pushing electronic music to the next level.

It seems the pair were always destined to play together, and it took very little time for them to realise this after meeting at the Winter Music Conference in 2001 - Josh Gabriel was giving out white label copies of his first track "Wave 3" and Dave Dresden was scouting new music for Pete Tong. Dresden loved the track, and two weeks later it got played on Tong's BBC Radio 1 show, and later appeared on his compilation, "Pete Tong's Twisted Beats." Tong soon offered Dresden the opportunity to remix New Order's track, "Someone Like You" and Gabriel was tapped to work on the remix.

The two have not stopped making music together since.
