Sebastian Ingrosso

A hugely talented young DJ/producer who’s been making serious waves in an industry hungry for the distinctive sounds and quality of Swedish house music.

As a founder member of the Swedish House Mafia, alongside Axwell, Erick Prydz and Steve Angello – Sebastian Ingrosso stands tall as one of our most exciting and popular regular guest DJs at Ministry of Sound.

Growing up in Stockholm, Sebastian Ingrosso was surrounded by music from an early age and lucky enough to have his Father’s studio to experiment in. Alongside best friend Steve Angello , Sebastian quickly discovered a passion for producing and inspired by artists like Daft Punk, Todd Terry and DJ Sneak , the boys began to discover a shared talent that sealed a life-long partnership in the studio.

Soon after these early studio ventures, “Freshly squeezed” and “Echo Vibes” were released in 2001 and 2002 respectively, catching the attention of fellow Swede Erick Prydz. His remix of “Echo Vibes” would catapult the boys to fame and sealed a friendship that has continued to this day.  Soon enough Axwell was involved as well and the Swedish House Mafia was born!

Despite being in demand as a DJ, Sebastian’s focus has always been on producing, a passion that fuelled the creation of his own label, Refune. Early releases “Get it Back” and “Shake” in 2004 had the dance music world sitting up and paying attention, and with new projects always in the pipeline, much is expected from this exciting, young label.
