Where has the time gone!? Incredibly, it's that time of year again to brush the dust off your Birthday best and raise a glass to another year of sense-spanking parties that have been demolishing our dance floors week in week out for the last 12 months, and so in honour of the occasion we did what we do best and threw a massive party!
As always for this most special occasion in our calendar, we at Ministry of Sound brought together a one-off line-up which busted open musical boundaries, showcased the best of what we do here, propelling us forward into a new and exciting year.
Those who ventured into the Box were taken on a journey through the perfectly placed techno-inspired beats and ethereal melodies of Trentemoller, infectious genre-mashing house of Danny Howells and controlled, compelling magic of Mark Knight. In the Bar, we showed off brand new resident Lee Mortimer, whose bass-lead, statement bursting sound is a refreshing new force on our roster. Lee was joined by Ashley Beedle, who played a fusion of hip-hop and house that left the crowd perfectly primed for the raw off-beat tribal energy of legendary special guest, Afrika Bambaataa!
All of this was served up with plenty of Birthday silliness, including sweets, treats and even a jelly and ice cream filled party room up in the Lounge: Happy Birthday Ministry of Sound!
