Probably one of the most unusual events Ministry of Sound has hosted in the last few years. A private client wanted to host a 50th birthday party with various forms of entertainment and an auction with all proceeds going to charity. For the night the venue was transformed into a musical heaven featuring a 23 piece orchestra and baby grand piano.

Guests on the night were flown in from all corners of the world and brought on coaches to the venue with all guests not knowing the location or venue of the party which meant the reaction of people when arriving was fun to see. Many of the guests had heard of Ministry of Sound so seemed confused that they were attending a nightclub but many of the younger guests were excited to be attending the venue for a 50th birthday party. When entering the venue all of the peoples faces lit up with delight as they were greeted with food and drinks provided by Eclare.

The Main bar featured crystals hanging from the ceiling, elaborate displays of food and the most colourful and grandest flowers complimenting the twinkle of the crystals.

When all guests had arrived they were lead through to the main room (The Box) and to their amazement the music being played was a 23 piece orcehstra accompanied by a baby grand piano live on stage.

The 5 course meal was broken up with a DVD playing birthday messages from friends and family that could not attend, close up magicians, ventriloquists and of course music and singing by the orchestra and piano. The evening also featured a very professional looking game of the Weakest link all of which were filmed and edited by a camera crew and beamed live onto the 23 plasma screens around the venue.

Once the event came to a close the guests were then picked up by their coaches and taken back to the hotels all with huge smiles and talking about how good the event was.
