Sound System Upgrade

The legendary sound system at the world’s most famous nightclub has been totally upgraded and will be officially launched this Saturday.

The main room at London’s Ministry of Sound was always designed to provide the ultimate audio experience, and for the last 15 years its sound system has remained among the clearest, loudest and most bone-shaking in the business.

But having a reputation for the best system in the world is no reason to sit back and relax. With plenty of competition attempting to take the crown, it was decided that the famous MoS main room needed a complete upgrade to bring in the very latest technology, and keep it firmly ahead of the game.

Early versions of the custom made new speakers were secretly demonstrated to Dave Bradshaw, Head of Production at Ministry of Sound back in December.

“The difference was staggering between the original speakers and our new Martin Audio custom designed solution,” says Dave.

“We wanted to keep the floor stacked speakers as this has become a signature of the club over the past 15 years. But we needed to update our speakers and amplifiers, and some of the speakers were showing real signs of wear on the cabinets after so long in Ministry.

"Each new stack is a five way configuration and allows us to really drive the system efficiently to give crystal clear highs and thumping bass.”

But the proof is in the hearing, of course. So don’t just take our word for it, come test the excellence of the sound system for yourselves, as it will be fully operational from this Saturday night at Defected in the House, which is also the official launch party.
